The 180-day guarantee, and how to actually use it
A guarantee is worth whatever the process behind it lets you claim. Here is who handles it, when the clock starts, and what to have in hand.
Who administers it
Not this site, and generally not the brand either. The money-back guarantee is operated by whoever processed your payment, which for Synaptigen is BuyGoods. Approaching the right party first saves a round of forwarded emails.
When the clock starts
The window runs 180 days from the day the parcel arrives. That distinction matters more than it looks: a window counted from delivery is more generous, because shipping time does not eat into it, while one counted from purchase begins before the parcel is even in your hands.
What claiming it involves here
More effort than most, and the detail is worth knowing before you order rather than after.
- Every bottle goes back, opened or empty making no difference.
- Return postage is yours. On a six-bottle return that is a real figure, and it scales with the size of the order you are trying to recover.
- Include the packing slip plus a note giving your name and the email address used to order.
- Refund requests go by email to the product's own support team with Refund Request in the subject line. BuyGoods handles order lookup if the order number has gone missing.
Have these ready
- The order number, from the confirmation email sent at purchase.
- The email address you ordered with, which is not always the one you use daily.
- The last four digits of the card, which most lookup systems accept when the order number has gone astray.
- Roughly when you ordered, to establish you are inside the window.
If a refund is refused
Inside the stated window, a refusal goes next to the payment platform's own dispute process, and after that to a card chargeback. Keep the correspondence. In practice these guarantees are usually honoured within the window, because it is the platform rather than the brand that carries the reputational cost of refusing.
An honest word on long guarantees
A long window reduces the downside of experimenting; it does not abolish it. The deadline still has to register, the documents still have to survive, and somebody still has to begin the process — and the further away the cutoff sits, the easier it is to drift past it. A 180-day policy is a genuine protection and a well-understood piece of sales psychology at the same time, and neither of those cancels the other out.
